Performance, SEO & technical partnership

Keep it fast, found and maintained. One person who already knows your stack.

An audit that ends with fixes and numbers, not a PDF. Then, if you want, a monthly retainer with a real response time and a person who remembers why things are the way they are.

Why people come to me

Red scores, a slow site, and nobody to call.

  • Core Web Vitals are red on mobile and have been for a year. The hosting and the theme each look like the cause, and nobody owns the fix.

  • Google Discover and Google News don't pick you up. Your competitors with worse content do.

  • Every plugin update is a small gamble. And when something breaks on a Friday, the ticket is answered on Tuesday.

The deliverable

Fixes first. A report is just the receipt.

The audit

  • Core Web Vitals on real pages: LCP, CLS, INP, measured in the field and in the lab, on mobile.
  • Technical SEO: crawlability, indexing, structured data, canonicals, hreflang, redirects, sitemap, robots.
  • Discover and News readiness for publishers: schema, image sizes, author and date signals, feed hygiene.
  • Security and hygiene: outdated plugins, exposed endpoints, backup status, login hardening.
  • Ad slot layout stability for sites that run ads.
  • A prioritised list with effort and expected impact, then the fixes, then before/after numbers.

The retainer

  • A monthly block of hours with a response-time commitment during business hours.
  • Updates and backups done by someone who tests first.
  • Small changes and new features without opening a project.
  • Monitoring: uptime, Core Web Vitals, Search Console anomalies, reported monthly.

Before and after

Numbers, not adjectives.

Process

Two weeks to numbers you can show your boss.

  1. 1

    Access and baseline

    Days 1 to 2

Read-only access to the site, Search Console and analytics. I record the current numbers so the "after" means something.

  2. 2

    Audit

    Days 3 to 6

Field and lab measurements, crawl, code review of the theme and plugins.

Output a prioritised list with effort and impact.

  3. 3

    Fixes

    Days 7 to 12

I implement the high-impact items on staging, test, deploy. You approve each deploy.

  4. 4

    Report and next steps

    Days 13 to 14

Before/after numbers, what's left and why, and a retainer proposal if it makes sense.

I’ve kept high-traffic WordPress sites fast and online for OLX, Storia, Financial Intelligence and ARMA, some of them for more than six years. I fix what’s slow and I stay to keep it that way.

Frequently asked

We already have a hosting company. Isn't this their job?

Hosting keeps the server up. Nobody at the hosting company will fix your theme’s LCP or your schema. That’s what this audit does.

Can you audit a site you didn't build?

Most of the sites I audit were built by someone else. That’s the usual case.

We're on WP Engine / Kinsta / a custom stack.

Fine. I work with managed hosts daily and with custom setups when needed. If the stack isn’t WordPress, I’ll tell you upfront whether I’m the right person.

What if the fixes need a rebuild?

Then the audit says so, with a price, and you decide. You keep the audit and the fixes that were possible either way.

Do you replace our agency?

No. I’m the technical partner; the agency keeps doing strategy, content and design. Most of my long-term clients have both.
